1. Who these terms are between
This website is operated by POV Group Inc, Los Angeles, California, working as POVO ("we"). By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Terms of Service
These terms cover the use of this website and the orders you place through it. The translation work itself is covered by the Translation Service Agreement, which you accept with each order.
2. Using the site
You may use the site to get a quote, place orders and download your files. You agree not to upload files you have no right to share, not to upload malicious code, and not to try to access another person's account or files.
The text, layout and design of this site belong to POV Group Inc. You may print or save pages for your own use, not to republish them.
3. Your account
There are no passwords. You sign in with your email address and a one-time code sent to it. Anyone with access to your inbox can access your account, so keep your email secure.
You are responsible for what is done from your account. If you think someone else has used it, write to us at once.
4. Orders and quotes
A quote is based on the files you upload and the details you enter. It shows the price, the page count and the delivery date. It becomes an order when you accept it and pay, or when you accept a manual quote and pay by the link we send.
If the files turn out to differ materially from what was declared, you receive a revised quote before work starts. Nothing beyond the accepted quote is charged without your approval.
5. Payment
Payment is due when you place the order, by card through our payment provider. Work begins after payment is received. Prices are in US dollars.
You receive a receipt by email. The translation itself is never sent by email. It is delivered in your account.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel in writing, by email or by message from your account. If work has not begun, you receive a full refund. If work has begun, the completed part is charged and the rest is refunded.
Errors in names, dates or numbers in our translation are corrected at no charge. Changes to the original document, or a new document, are a new order.
7. Delivery
The translation is delivered as a PDF in your account on or before the delivery date shown in your quote. Files stay in your account for 90 days after the order is closed and are then deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy. Download your PDF before then.
8. What we are not
We are translators, not attorneys. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
9. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any order, whatever the cause, is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect losses such as a missed deadline with a receiving office, travel costs or lost income, except where the law does not allow this limit.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that California law gives you and does not allow to be waived.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new text is posted on this page with its effective date. Orders already placed are covered by the terms in force when they were placed.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
