USCIS raises several H.R. 1 immigration fees from October 16, 2026
The TPS fee, initial work permit fees for asylum, parole and TPS, the annual asylum fee and the parole fee go up with inflation. Renewal fees stay the same.
USCIS published the fiscal year 2027 inflation adjustment for fees created by the H.R. 1 law. The new amounts apply from October 16, 2026. A request postmarked on or after that date without the proper fee will be rejected.
What changes: Form I-821 TPS fee from $510 to $520. Initial work permit (Form I-765) for asylum applicants, parolees and TPS holders from $560 to $570. Annual fee for a pending asylum application from $102 to $105. Immigration Parole Fee from $1,020 to $1,050.
What stays the same: the $100 asylum application fee, work permit renewals ($275 for asylum applicants, $280 for parole and TPS), the re-parole work permit at $280, and the $24 Form I-94 fee.
Anyone filing Form I-821, an initial Form I-765 in the asylum, parole or TPS categories, or paying the annual asylum fee on or after October 16, 2026.
