Optional $750 fee for a faster B1/B2 visa interview at selected consulates
A temporary State Department rule, in effect from July 1 through December 31, 2026, lets visitor visa applicants pay for an interview within ten business days at limited posts.
The Department of State temporarily amended its Schedule of Fees for Consular Services to create a $750 fee for an expedited B1/B2 nonimmigrant visa interview appointment. Applicants who pay it can secure an interview at selected posts within ten business days.
The service is optional and comes on top of the standard visa application fee. It is offered only at limited posts listed on travel.state.gov and in limited quantities. The temporary rule runs from July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
Applicants for B1/B2 visitor visas, including relatives traveling to visit family in the United States.
