Two immigration enforcement fees set at $5,300 for fiscal year 2027
DHS adjusted for inflation the fees for people ordered removed in absentia who are later arrested and for people apprehended between ports of entry.
The Department of Homeland Security announced the fiscal year 2027 amounts for two enforcement fees created by the H.R. 1 law. Both are now $5,300.
The fees apply to aliens ordered removed in absentia who are subsequently arrested, and to inadmissible aliens apprehended between ports of entry. DHS begins assessing the new amounts on October 16, 2026.
People with a removal order issued in their absence, and people apprehended after crossing between ports of entry.
