What is special about it

What gets checked in a Russian bank statement: names, dates, stamps

Statements list the account number, the BIC and correspondent account of the bank, and transaction descriptions in bank shorthand. The translation keeps the identifiers as printed and renders the shorthand into plain English.

Bank identifiers kept

Account numbers, BIC, INN and correspondent accounts are copied exactly; they are how the reader verifies the bank.

Transactions, line by line

Descriptions such as card purchase, transfer or salary credit are translated in the same row as the amount.

Stamp or e-signature

The bank's stamp or the note that the document is signed electronically is translated or described.

Patronymic and spelling

The account holder's name keeps its patronymic and matches your passport spelling.

Which version do you have

Statement from the app or balance certificate, which do you have

Russian banks issue a statement of transactions as a PDF from the app or on paper at a branch, and a separate certificate of the balance or of the existence of an account. Both are translated page by page.

Statement of transactions

PDF from the app
  • A multi-page table with the bank's name, BIC and correspondent account in the header, often with an e-signature note
  • Date, description, debit, credit and balance for each operation, with period totals
  • Headers, descriptions and the signature note are translated; amounts, account numbers and identifiers are copied
  • Asked for by consulates for visa proofs and by investor and student cases that want history

Send the PDF as exported from the app, or clear photos of every printed page.

Certificate of balance

One page, stamped
  • A single page on the bank's letterhead with a round stamp and a signature, or an electronic signature block
  • Your name with patronymic, the account number, the currency and the balance on the stated date
  • The whole page, stamp text included, is translated; the amount stays in rubles
  • Asked for by USCIS sponsors and by schools that need proof of funds on a date

Send the page as issued, with the stamp or signature block visible.

The whole document, not just the fields

The whole statement, every header and footer

Header, footer, page numbers

The bank's details, the account header and the footer with the statement date and page numbers are translated in place.

Masked card numbers kept

Account and card numbers are copied as the bank printed them, masking included; nothing is completed or guessed.

Period and every date

The statement period and each transaction date are converted to month-day-year, in the same row order.

Handwritten marks on paper statements

On statements printed at a branch, a handwritten note, initial or page mark by the teller is translated and marked as handwritten.

Where it is accepted

One translation, accepted where you need to file

The same certified file works for immigration, courts, universities and employers. Say who it is for when you order and the certificate is worded for that office.

USCIS

Green card, citizenship and asylum filings. Certification statement on every page set.

Immigration courts

Same certified translation, laid out page by page so the clerk can compare it with the original.

Universities and WES / ECE

Admissions offices and credential evaluators get the certified English file with the original attached.

Employers and licensing boards

HR departments get the translation with the certificate, ready to attach to an application.

Questions answered

Russian bank statement, the questions we hear most

Is a certificate of account balance better than a full statement?

For proofs of funds, often yes: it is one page and shows the balance on a date. Send the document your office asked for; each page is translated at the same price.

The statement is forty pages. Can you translate only part?

You can send only the pages you need, and the translation states which pages were provided. A partial set is still translated in full, page by page.

Do you convert rubles to dollars?

No. Amounts stay in rubles with the currency named.

Will USCIS accept this translation?

It follows what USCIS asks for: the whole document in English plus a signed statement that the translator is competent and the translation is complete and accurate. Every order includes that statement, signed and dated by the translator.

How much does it cost and how fast is it?

From $23.70 per document, certification included. A one-page balance certificate is usually ready the next business day; a multi-page statement costs more, by word count, and the price is shown right after upload, before you pay.
