Order NowInside a Russian employment letter: the details that decide it
Russian letters often bundle several facts on one page: the order number of the hire, the salary before tax, the address of the employer and a note on the purpose of the letter. Some employers add a 2-NDFL income statement, which is a separate document.
Letterhead, OGRN, INN
The company's registration numbers and the round stamp are translated or described so the issuer can be identified.
Position and hire order
The job title and the number and date of the hire order are translated literally.
Salary in rubles
The amount stays in rubles, with the words before or after tax translated as printed.
Patronymic kept
Your name keeps its patronymic and is spelled as in your passport.
HR certificate or 2-NDFL form, which one do you hold
A Russian employer can give you a certificate from the place of work on letterhead, or an income certificate on the 2-NDFL form, and offices ask for one or the other. Both are translated in full at the same price.
Certificate from the place of work
Letterhead and round stamp- One page on letterhead with the OGRN and INN, an outgoing number, a date, a signature and a round stamp
- Position, hire date and order number, salary in rubles, sometimes duties and the purpose of the letter
- Letterhead, body, signature block and stamp are translated; amounts stay in rubles
- Asked for by USCIS in work petitions, by consulates and for sponsor files
Send a scan or a straight-on photo of the whole page, stamp included.
2-NDFL income certificate
Tax form, by month- A tax form in table layout, from the employer or downloaded from the tax service cabinet with an electronic signature
- Income by month and code, deductions, tax withheld, the employer's INN and KPP and your INN
- Every cell, code and header is translated; the form number and amounts stay as printed
- Asked for by consulates for visa proofs and by offices that want income rather than a position
Send the PDF as downloaded or received; a photo of a multi-column form is often unreadable.
The whole certificate, letterhead to stamp edge
Layout kept
Header, body, signature block and stamp sit where they are in the original, so the two pages can be read side by side.
Who signed
The name and title of the director or HR officer who signed, and the accountant's line if present, are translated with the patronymic kept.
Handwritten numbers and notes
A handwritten outgoing number, date or remark is translated and marked as handwritten.
Duties and purpose line
If the letter lists duties or states where it is to be presented, that text is translated literally, in the same order.
One translation, accepted where you need to file
The same certified file works for immigration, courts, universities and employers. Say who it is for when you order and the certificate is worded for that office.
USCIS
Green card, citizenship and asylum filings. Certification statement on every page set.
Immigration courts
Same certified translation, laid out page by page so the clerk can compare it with the original.
Universities and WES / ECE
Admissions offices and credential evaluators get the certified English file with the original attached.
Employers and licensing boards
HR departments get the translation with the certificate, ready to attach to an application.

Price My DocumentRussian employment letter, the questions we hear most
Do you translate the 2-NDFL income statement too?
Yes, as a separate page. It is a tax form with its own layout, and it is translated cell by cell.
The letter is signed by the accountant, not the director. Does that matter?
Not for the translation. The signature block is translated with the title of the person who signed.
Can the letter be translated from a scan sent by the employer?
Yes, if the letterhead, text and stamp are readable. If something is unclear, we ask before we start.
Will USCIS accept this translation?
It follows what USCIS asks for: the whole document in English plus a signed statement that the translator is competent and the translation is complete and accurate. Every order includes that statement, signed and dated by the translator.
How much does it cost and how fast is it?
From $23.70 per document, certification included. A one-page document is usually ready the next business day; the date is confirmed before you pay.
Twenty document types, two languages
Each document and each language has its own page with its own specifics and price. Something else? Upload it and we quote it by hand.
