Ukrainian divorce certificate translation, certified for USCIS
In Ukraine a divorce decided by a court ends with the court decision itself; the registry issues a certificate only when the spouses divorced by joint application. Both documents are translated in full, with a signed certificate of accuracy.

Order NowWhat gets checked in a Ukrainian divorce record: names, dates, stamps
Since 2010 Ukrainian courts no longer send divorcing spouses back to the registry for a certificate. That is why many clients hold a decision with a stamp that it entered into legal force and nothing else, and that is a complete document.
Court decisions as the final record
The decision names the court, the parties, the ruling and the date it took effect. Every page and every stamp is translated so the officer sees it is final.
DRATsS certificates and seals
For registry divorces, the act record number, the office and the seal are translated or described. Older forms may still say RATsS; the translation keeps the name as printed.
Ukrainian spelling first
Names are transliterated from the Ukrainian text the way the Ukrainian passport does it. Bilingual and Russian-language Soviet forms are handled from the text they carry.
Apostille from the Ministry of Justice
If the certificate or decision carries an apostille, it is translated as part of the same order.
Court decision or DRATsS certificate, it depends on how you divorced
In Ukraine the path of the divorce decides the document: a court divorce ends with the decision itself, a divorce by joint application ends with a registry certificate.
Court decision in legal force
Court divorces since 2010- Typed pages from a district court with the court's name at the top, the judge's signature and a stamp on the last page that the decision entered into legal force
- The parties, the ruling on dissolution, the date it took effect and any decisions on children or support
- Every page in full, including the legal-force stamp, the court seal and the mark that the copy is true
- Asked for by USCIS as the final proof of a court divorce; no separate certificate exists for it
Send every page in order, including the last one with the stamp; blank pages are noted and not charged.
DRATsS certificate of divorce
Joint application divorces- A single sheet with the Ukrainian trident, a series and number and printed labels in Ukrainian
- Both former spouses, the date the marriage ended, the surnames after divorce, the act record number and the issuing office
- The whole page, every field and the form text, the seal and the signature block, plus any stamp on the back
- Asked for by USCIS in spousal petitions; also issued for divorces registered before 2010 on the older RATsS forms
Send the front and the back in one flat photo or scan each, plus the apostille page if you obtained one.
Court header, stamps and margins, nothing skipped
Court name, case number, judge
The court's full name, the case number and the judge's name are transliterated and translated as printed, so the decision can be matched to the court register.
Every section of the decision
The parts about children, support or property are translated along with the dissolution itself; a shortened decision is not a certified translation.
True-copy marks and seals
A court copy carries a mark that the copy is true, a clerk's signature and a seal. Each is translated where it appears.
Dates on decision and certificate
The hearing date, the date the decision took effect and the certificate's issue date are labeled separately and converted to the US format.
One translation, accepted where you need to file
The same certified file works for immigration, courts, universities and employers. Say who it is for when you order and the certificate is worded for that office.
USCIS
Green card, citizenship and asylum filings. Certification statement on every page set.
Immigration courts
Same certified translation, laid out page by page so the clerk can compare it with the original.
Universities and WES / ECE
Admissions offices and credential evaluators get the certified English file with the original attached.
Employers and licensing boards
HR departments get the translation with the certificate, ready to attach to an application.

Price My DocumentUkrainian divorce certificate, the questions we hear most
I only have the court decision. Is that the right document?
For a court divorce in Ukraine, the decision that entered into legal force is the official record, and the registry does not issue a separate certificate for it. We translate the decision in full, stamp included.
What if my divorce was by joint application at the registry?
Then you hold a certificate of divorce from DRATsS, one page, and it is translated like any other civil certificate.
My certificate is from the nineties and bilingual. Which text do you use?
The Ukrainian text is the source, and the Russian side is checked for entries filled in only there. The English file notes that the original is bilingual.
Do you translate an extract from the state register instead of a certificate?
Yes. An extract from the register of civil status acts is often issued in place of a lost certificate and is translated in the same way.
How much does it cost and how fast is it?
From $23.70 per document, certification included. A one-page document is usually ready the next business day; the date is confirmed before you pay.
Twenty document types, two languages
