What is special about it

Ukrainian diploma supplement, line by line: what the reviewer compares

A modern Ukrainian supplement can show three grades for one course: a 100-point score, an ECTS letter and a national grade. The translation keeps all three columns and states the scales once, so nothing is read as a conversion.

Three scales, all kept

The 100-point score, the ECTS letter and the national grade (excellent, good, satisfactory, passed) are transcribed as printed, column by column.

Bilingual supplements checked

When the supplement already carries English text, the Ukrainian column is translated in full and the printed English is checked for gaps and mismatches.

Qualification work and attestation

The title of the qualification work, practice records and the attestation results are translated in full.

Hours and ECTS credits

Hours and credits are copied exactly; totals are transcribed, not recalculated.

Which version do you have

European supplement or older dodatok, both are complete records

Supplements issued since 2015 follow the European Diploma Supplement layout with ECTS credits and a printed English column; older ones list hours and national grades in Ukrainian only. Both are translated in full.

European Diploma Supplement since 2015

ECTS and printed English
  • Several A4 pages, bilingual, with numbered sections, the diploma's series and number and tables with ECTS credits and up to three grade columns
  • Every course with credits, a 100-point score, an ECTS letter and a national grade, practice, the qualification work and attestation results
  • The Ukrainian column in full, all three grade columns kept, with the printed English checked for gaps and differences
  • Asked for by WES and other evaluators and by universities together with the diploma

Send every page in order, including the last one with the signatures and seal; the printed English does not replace the translation.

Older supplement (dodatok)

Issued before 2015
  • A folded sheet or several pages in Ukrainian, sometimes bilingual with Russian or in Russian for Soviet-era diplomas, with courses listed with hours
  • Every course with academic hours and a national grade, practice periods, coursework, the thesis and state examination results
  • Every row as printed or written, with the scale stated once and the source language named
  • Asked for by the same evaluators; hours instead of credits is normal for the period

Photograph each page flat and in good light; if any entries are handwritten, they must be readable.

The whole document, not just the fields

Every row and every column, including the ones already in English

Numbered sections and footnotes

The section headings, column headers and footnotes on grading scales are translated with the tables, so the English version stands on its own.

Seal and signatures

The rector's signature, the seal and any stamp on individual pages are noted where they appear.

Course titles, literal and consistent

Course names are translated word for word from the Ukrainian column with abbreviations spelled out, and the printed English is corrected in a note where it differs.

Study periods and issue date

Admission and graduation dates, the length of practice periods and the date of issue are transcribed and converted to the US format where they are dates.

Where it is accepted

One translation, accepted where you need to file

The same certified file works for immigration, courts, universities and employers. Say who it is for when you order and the certificate is worded for that office.

USCIS

Green card, citizenship and asylum filings. Certification statement on every page set.

Immigration courts

Same certified translation, laid out page by page so the clerk can compare it with the original.

Universities and WES / ECE

Admissions offices and credential evaluators get the certified English file with the original attached.

Employers and licensing boards

HR departments get the translation with the certificate, ready to attach to an application.

Questions answered

Ukrainian diploma supplement, the questions we hear most

Does WES accept this translation?

WES asks for a literal, complete translation of the supplement or transcript, and that is the format delivered. Whether the institution must also send records directly is a WES requirement separate from the translation.

My supplement already has English text. Why translate it?

The printed English is often a partial column, and evaluators ask for a certified translation of the whole document. We translate the Ukrainian side and note where the printed English differs.

My old supplement lists hours but no credits. Is that a problem?

No. Hours are what the older form recorded, and they are translated as printed. Evaluators are used to both formats.

Do you convert grades from one scale to another?

No grades are converted. Whatever scale is printed is stated once, and each grade is copied as written.

How much does it cost and how fast is it?

From $23.70 per document, certification included. A typical supplement is ready in two to three business days; the exact price is shown right after upload and the date is confirmed before you pay.
