Transcript and diploma supplement translation, certified for WES

The supplement is where the evaluator spends most of the time: every course, every grade, every hour. It is translated line by line, with grades and scales kept as printed, with the translator's signed certificate attached.

What matters in this document

Every course, every grade, no conversions

A supplement can run from two to eight dense pages. Evaluators compare course names, hours and grades against the original, so the translation preserves the table, the order and the exact wording of each grade.

Same table, same order

Courses appear in the same order and the same columns as the original: title, hours or credits, grade. Nothing is regrouped.

Grades as written

Excellent, good, satisfactory and passed stay as literal grades, with the original scale noted once at the top. No GPA is calculated; that is the evaluator's job.

Thesis, practice and state exams

The thesis title, internship records and state examination results are translated in full, because evaluators look for them specifically.

Hours and credits kept

Academic hours and credits are transcribed exactly. Totals are copied, not recalculated.

Which version do you have

Supplement or academic certificate, depends on whether you graduated

A graduate holds the supplement issued with the diploma, while a student who left, transferred or is still studying holds an academic certificate or transcript issued on request. Both are translated in the same table format.

Diploma supplement

Issued with the diploma
  • Two to eight pages, folded or stapled, with the diploma's series and number at the top and tables of courses
  • Every course with hours or credits and a grade, practice periods, coursework, the thesis title and grade, state examination results and the totals row
  • Every page and every row, table mirrored, grades as printed with the scale stated once, no GPA calculated
  • Asked for by WES and other evaluators and by universities, and read more closely than the diploma

Send every page including the last one with the signatures and the seal, in order.

Academic certificate or transcript

Incomplete or transfer studies
  • A printed document on the institution's letterhead or a numbered form, often signed by the rector or dean, with a seal on each page
  • The courses completed to date with hours or credits and grades, the period of study and the reason for issue
  • Every page in full, with the same table format, the seal and the signatures
  • Asked for by universities for transfer credit and by evaluators when there is no diploma yet

Send every page; if the certificate was issued in several copies, one is enough.

The whole document, not just the fields

Every row, every footnote, every page number

Headers and footnotes

The column headers, the footnotes about scales and the numbered pages are translated with the table, so the English version can be read without the original beside it.

Seal on every page

Supplements are often stamped on every page and signed at the end. Each seal and signature is noted on the page where it appears.

Course titles literal

Course names are translated word for word, including abbreviations spelled out, and a discipline that repeats across semesters is translated the same way every time.

Dates and periods of study

Admission and graduation dates, the period of each practice and the date of issue are converted to the US format with the original kept.

Where it is accepted

One translation, accepted where you need to file

The same certified file works for immigration, courts, universities and employers. Say who it is for when you order and the certificate is worded for that office.

USCIS

Green card, citizenship and asylum filings. Certification statement on every page set.

Immigration courts

Same certified translation, laid out page by page so the clerk can compare it with the original.

Universities and WES / ECE

Admissions offices and credential evaluators get the certified English file with the original attached.

Employers and licensing boards

HR departments get the translation with the certificate, ready to attach to an application.

Questions answered

Transcript translation, the questions we hear most

Does WES accept this translation?

WES asks for a literal, complete translation of the supplement or transcript, and that is the format delivered. Whether the institution must also send records directly is a WES requirement separate from the translation.

How many pages is a supplement?

Usually two to four, sometimes more for a Specialist program. Send photos of all pages and the count is shown before you pay.

Do you convert my grades to letters or a GPA?

No. Grades are translated literally and the scale is stated; conversion is done by the evaluator or the university.

I have an academic certificate for incomplete studies. Same service?

Yes. The academic certificate lists completed courses and hours and is translated in the same table format.

How much does it cost and how fast is it?

From $23.70 per document, certification included. A typical supplement is ready in two to three business days; the exact price is shown right after upload and the date is confirmed before you pay.
